Chandelier
A chandelier is a branched decorative ceiling-mounted light fixture with two or more arms bearing lights. Chandeliers are often ornate, containing many lamps and complex arrays of glass helping to illuminate a room with refracted light. A chandelier typically hangs from the ceiling and, in most cases modern chandeliers provide illumination with standard electric light bulbs or electric candles.
Metal chandeliers are usually made of brass, nickel or iron and have a very substantial and strong appearance. These types of chandeliers often include a chandelier shade, and also make use of glass cups around the lighting fixtures. The arms of the chandelier are usually sharply curved, but modern metal chandeliers use straighter lines or softer curves.
Our hand-made Italian glass chandeliers are considered by many to be the finest in the world. Most are curved, tubular forms that are made exclusively from forged steel and hand blown glass. These types of chandeliers often use floral motifs in their design, and are made using many bright pastel colors. The type of glass and colors used creates a unique effect that can provide an interesting focal point for the room in which it is used.
